Michael “Hydroflow” Scheitzbach is a professional dancer and choreographer originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but now resides in Los Angeles, California. He specializes in hiphop and street styles of dance, but is well rounded and has trained in many other styles.
Growing up, Michael danced on studio competitive and performance teams, as well as performed in numerous cultural fundraising events, dance battles and choreography competitions. He has been teaching students ranging from all ages and experience levels since his teenage years and since then, has continued to follow his passion of sharing his art with everyone.
Michael’s awards include Manifesto Toronto’s All Styles Up Next Dancer Artist Under 18 award (2013), as well as many scholarships and competition titles across North America. In 2019, Michael placed 6th in the Electric Boogaloo solos at the World IDO Hip Hop Championships in Germany, as well as the Bronze Medal for small groups and 9th for Hip Hop duos with his brother Kevin. In 2021, with his brother Kevin, they won the IDO Continent vs Continent Online Adult/Duo/Urban/Street Category with the highest score of the entire competition.
Michael is a dance captain for The Vibe Xclusiv (George Jones Jr.), E3 Montreal (Giulia Tripoli) and co-founder of the 8th Union Crew. He has performed and choreographed at Carnival Choreographer’s Ball in New York and Los Angeles, Club Jete and Choreographer’s Ball Toronto. He has provided choreography for studio competitive routines and teams as well as adjudicated at dance competitions. Together with his brother, Kevin, as the duet FlowXS, they are teaching, choreographing and continuously sharing their artistry across the globe. Michael is excited and passionate to continue sharing his gift with the world as well as pass on his knowledge, craft and expertise with the next generation of dancers.
